I am Joe
Joe Connelly, Alderman of Ward 6, City of Calgary is a results-oriented community leader, passionate and proud Calgarian. Joe attended the University of Calgary where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce, and has over 25 years of senior business experience in the not-for-profit, blue-chip corporate and entrepreneurial business sectors. He is a visionary, inspirational and charismatic leader who asks you to imagine what your future could look like in this great city.
Joe stands for, and believes in, solid business practices that result in common sense decisions based on community collaboration. By putting community back into communities, Joe’s priorities focus on building a city that is the envy of the world.
Joe decided in 2007 to give back to his city by getting involved. Armed with his business education and senior corporate experience he successfully defeated a two-term incumbent with one of the largest upsets in Calgary’s history and today serves as Alderman of Ward Six.
